Last chance to upgrade to Windows 10 for free
For those who have waited and want to upgrade to Windows 10 but are running into issues with the upgrade working through Windows Update. Here is another way to get the upgrade. Go to the Windows 10 upgrade site here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
Please backup your data before upgrading just in case an unexpected problem occurs.
If you are on the PC that you want to upgrade then click the “Upgrade now” button and it will download the Windows Upgrade Assistant that will help you through the process. That page also has a handy tool for creating a Windows 10 install DVD which may prove to be useful if you run into issues later on.
If you had issues installing Windows 10 through the default methods then it could indicate an issue with your PC that should be addressed before upgrading. Before upgrading run a full virus scan of your computer with an up-to-date scanner. Run a full scan with Malwarebytes as well and remove anything that your virus protection program did not catch. Use the manufacture driver update tool to ensure your system is up-to-date before installing Windows 10. Clean up any junk files off of your computer by using CCleaner so that they don’t carry over into the Windows 10 install. After these tasks are complete, reboot your PC and try the upgrade.
We hope this helps any who are having difficulties.
